I'm in And I think everyone who was in it the first time should compete. It's all in fun and I'm sure the high Tec device will balance all the teams as good as possible

Re: Coop Contest
The maps Jackal has selected for part 2 are as follows.
Server is available for training now.
dug
ruins
dasacellars
ceremony
isvdeck1
thesunspire
bluff
nalic
extremedark
Anyone who was unable to compete in phase one of the contest, may still do so by contacting an admin and completing the first 3 maps as a single player.
It's not to late to get in on part 2.
This will only happen if sufficent players sign up. We need to know how long it will take for a team of 3-4 to complete the map list while working as a team and all arriving at the end together. Ending a map without all present at the end will cost a penality of 20 kills per player missing. This will be determined by the admin running the server if these conditions are met or not. I would say all players must be visible to each other at the end or just prior to ending. A simple ask before ending will be helpful, but not enough, you must see all your team at the end or nearby.
This is to be a COOP team effort and the spirit of the end together rule will be used.
The server will be paused between maps, and the scores recorded and simple totals used for all the scoreboard data. The contest will then resume. As far as breaks in play, the pause will not hold long before resuming automatically, but all teams are faced with the same identical problems. If a player must leave before a series is completed, that player will cost 20 points if leaving during a map. If a player leaves the series at the end of a map, there will be no penalities but the total score will suffer as that player will receive zeros for the remaining maps. There will be no penalities for crashed games. Again the administrator will determine fairness of the play and events that occur. If a team member fails to show up for the series, the admin may elect to use a spectator to fill empty slots or not. That is up to the admin. Spectators will not be used to fill the slots of players leaving mid series. Please try to show up
and support your team, but if conditions exist that you must leave, try and say so before your team begins its series.
Any suggested rule changes, let me know.
Please I will require some admin help during phase 2.
The teams will be balanced between higher and lower skilled players. BeachBum is working on this now.
This should be great fun, and a great spirit of competition.

Still think its a very nice idea.Oldsparky wrote:Not enough signing up so we will put it on hold for now.
The thing that hold me back from participating is time. Normally i play for 15-30 minutes and then pauze.
3 maps is too long for me, ow...and i get desperate way too fast if i cant find the right switch for a door

I think the idea about time race, has some merit, but that is the opposite of what we are hoping to accomplish, that of true cooperative play together as a team. We have to many map runners now I think, would this not encourage more, what you think?
Re: Coop Contest
well we could go by kills an time say you must kill all on the map or somen like that.
