Hey Dogs! Man, I've missed playing and seeing you guys and gals lately. My home PC crapped out awhile back and life has been in the way of repairing it. Now, however, I have a new PC! I know how to follow the Dog website as far as .ini settings and map downloading, etc. Before, I was running Unreal Gold. I have now acquired Unreal Tournament 3. Which should I load? Does it matter? I hope to be running by the end of this weekend, just in time to whomp on my fellow Texan, Spongebob! (JK, he usually wipes the floor with me.)

Looking forward to the fragfest. I love you guys.

Gio to Newbie's home page and hit Downloads tab....Super Cache....download flavour of choice............

If you have newer system, you might want to try 227 patch.......@ oldunreal.com

What is the diffrence between ur full install of regular Unreal and Unreal Gold version ?
(yes, i can google it, but the experts are inhere )

Thanks for the advice, guys. So Gold sucks, and UT3 is right out. On Amazon, there is "Unreal (Jewel Case) by Atari", "Unreal Anthology" by Midway (contains U, U2, UT-GOTY, and UT-2004),or "Unreal Anthology" by Mastertronic. Any opinion which is best?

Also, I'm interested in learning a little about map building. I read on wiki that there are 3 UnrealEd versions, the last of which came with UT-2003. Does it matter which of these I get for maps on this server?

Thanks for the help. Meanwhile, I'll re-install Gold this weekend, just to start knocking the rust off the mouse.

Welcome back neighbor!!! My first piece of advice would be to keep your head down

But seriously. I run Gold with 227f patch. Lookout when loading the patch. It has been my experience that it overwrites the cache and ini-s, of course. If you have a large cache as I do it's a pain replacing it. Backup, backup, backup......

Looking to install 227g sometime next week (when I find it). I'm on vacation between Christmas and NY so will try to play A LOT, Mountain time. Look forward to seeing you!
