The maze can be really confusing and when you played it not often you are quick lost down there.
Especially when you are alone in the map it can take quite a while to find the stones, seven of them are to find.
Here is a way to find them rather quick without thinking of the path you have to take. The last you will find leads to the lift.
When you enter the mine and land in the water, look for the rock and leave the water here. A short way to the left you will find the first stone.
After you pressed this one, go back and keep going to the right. No matter what happens, always keep going to the right. You will find one stone after the other. Press them, turn around and keep going to the right. Finally you will reach the last stone and see the lift.
The advantage is that you never can get lost in the maze and you find the stones and the lift for sure. The disadvantage is, that you run two or three times into a deadend, but that takes not much time.
