Unreal on Linux

Post by Depredador »

Hi all :), it's been a while since the last time I played Unreal and I plan to come back, recently I decided to try Linux and I ended up loving it! but since I am a new user I still need to learn alot of tricks :(. Well, straight to the point of this subject... Can I run Unreal with Linux? and also install the patches and caches and such? I am currently using the newest version of Mint, wich is Linux Mint 16, I hope you can help me with this and I also hope I can run it!

I hope all of you guys been doing okay and I hope to see you soon :D WOOF WOOF!

hey depredador! nice to read you ;)
well, afaik unreal runs fine on linux wine, but i don't know if any linux distribution will work (e.g. mint).
personally i've never installed unreal on linux, but i think there is a good installation-guide on oldunreal's wiki, that might help you:

http://www.oldunreal.com/wiki/index.php ... _Linux_FAQ

....and take a look on oldunreal's forum, linux section for further information:

hope that helps!
