personal health probs

Post by [IMA]BlondePsycho »

Wisdom... you and I have talked about all the crap going on in our lives of late.. so only you and Kim know what's going on with me...even Mark doesn't know all that is going on with me...
for the rest... Got my fone call from the hospital this morning.....
the last few months have been kinda stressful for me....and it took it's toll..
I come from a long line of bad hearts... and I had my 3'rd or is it 4th heart attack about a month ago...
Well the prognosis was not good .. at first...
apparently i have a ?ruptured? bleeding valve... heart is apparently kinda busted....
I can't seem to do anything for more than a few minutes... I think I almost might have had a "mini' a few days ago doing the yard sale of my Mom's estate... I just really don't feel very good these days.. and I'm scared s*******.....
I went for a whack of "nasty ' tests... and other stuff that I have had to do... and here's basically what they say...
They are going in through a vein with I guess micro stuff and they say they can fix the leaky faucet:) Doctor talk goes in one ear and out the other with me....I guess it's kinda of a routine fix ... they do it all the time... however... anesthesia DOES NOT work on me.... not even a local so I bet this is gonna hurt bigtime...( I was even totally awake and aware for my vasectomy and appendectomy..lol and other things...lol)
I'll be in and out in 2 days:) ( so they say) Guess I'm just wierd that way... but not the only one...( guess that's may be why I have such a high tolerance for so many painfull things.. hell I do my own stitches hahhahha.. and since my nerve damage happened and I know longer have physical sensation in most of my body ...maybe it won't hurt at all :) ) lol
I don't trust doctors or our health care system....and I DON"T take pills...( but guess I might have to ...grrrrr)
anyhow.. this is tentatively scheduled for the 14th.. I go in on the 13th and should be home on the 16th or maybe 17th...

Don't pray for me cause as some of you know I'm not into the God thing (IMA atheist) but just wish me good luck:)
I will play as much as I can...
And Wisdom.. don't think I haven't been thinking of you.. I do every single day... and I hope for you and wish you alllllll the best luck in the whole wide world....i asked the trees and wind to send you a good breeze:) You a good and strong man and I know you will get through this.. with the help of your friends, family , and your own personal strength!!! Sending good Kharma your way..:)
Anyhow there you have it... that's it in a nutshell...
Still a lot I don't know...don't want to know and don't understand....

WOW!, not good news either. Well from what I understand it most likely is a rupture of the connective tissue that makes the valve work. I am sure they can most likely fix this. If the valve don't work the blood dont flow correctly and that explains your weakness. You should see quick improvement when its fixed. We will be pulling for you and hope that you get over this quickly. I would be a basket case as well. The thought of them messing with the main motor is not cool. Have courage and oh yes I have a rubber mallet that I guarantee will put you to sleep. I will be happy to Fed x it and I bet Turok would run over and apply the anethesia. We will pray for you,, we just won't tell ya and it can't hurt. Get well soon, there is only one Blonde Physco ya know eh. :(

Patient sedation – It is generally recommended that adult patients be kept awake during catheterization. However, it is important that anxiety, which may induce tachycardia and hemodynamic embarrassment, be controlled. Small doses of benzodiazepines are useful for controlling anxiety.

Bum ticker eh? I know it's freaky having someone poke around inside you especially while you're watching. I had some foot surgery done while awake. My Grandfather did it with his appendectomy and he did it because he wanted to photograph the procedure (newspaper photographer and nut).
You know you've got to stop smoking "tobacco". AND I know this has been a rough year for you but you're gonna have to chill a bit. That stress carp does even more damage than the smokey treats. You're a professed Atheist, well, take some time to meditate with the great void to find some inner peace. I know it sounds all new agey and such but it works. Heck if that doesn't appeal to you go stand in a field and ponder the stars for a few, count to 10, build a fire, go fishing, whatever, just chill. 8)

I'm sending all kinds of good vibes your way (I'm Agnostic, recovering Catholic, so I'll send you all sorts of vibes). Hopefully the power of all those who care for you will strengthen you through this ordeal.

Take care,

Hey Blondy!

I understand if you may not believe in god but even so, I want to let you know that you will be in my prayers. This gesture of prayer is heartfelt and sincere but if you want, don't consider it prayer at all, just a simple "good luck ya crazy pshycho"! From the sounds of it, you're gonna be just fine. Besides, it cant hurt more than a direct shot in the face with an ASMD right? Take Care

Hey Chris,
I'm really glad you decided to post. As you can see, you and I got a lot of people in our corner, and they all have the best wishes, thoughts, prayers, and intentions for us. And let me tell ya, it really helps when you can vent to people just to put it out there and get some reassurance with what your gonna be facing. We've got a bunch of people here that are a great support team for life's worst situations. It really doesn't matter what the beliefs of each individual is, but that they are giving us some enlightenment to what we're gonna face as they wheel us in. Because I know I wouldn't have gone into the surgery as soon as I had if it weren't for Sparky and a couple others telling me what to expect and what could happen if I didn't get it taken care of immediately. I know now they were right. If I had waited, it would have been fatal. There is, as I've found out, a point of no return in my case. Still waiting to see when the next surgery is scheduled.
Sparky has an insight into these types of problems that the both of us are facing, that is outstanding. I've found his support to be a literal "God send" if ever there was one. Brother, you really can't get better than these guys and they are sincerely concerned for us as you can plainly see. I've even gone as far as ditching the surgeon I initially had and now have an Oncologist specialist taking on my case, thanks to Sparky and the feedback he has given me along the way. I was and am still on edge about this whole mess but, it's a real stress reliever when these guys paint a picture that doesn't look so dismal. I'm pulling for you brother and I'm gonna have a bunch of time on my hands for now if you wanna kill someone.lol. I'm a great target. As I read your post, a thought suddenly came to me, we could end up on the table at the same time. Seems possible, don't know yet, but if you need to borrow the cast iron skillet their gonna use on me, I'll get it sent out over night express! Sue's got a couple of em here, and said "not a problem!". But remember, I'm with ya brother!!!
Can you tell, I always try to keep these short and to the point. lol. Well I'll be here for ya man, and waiting to hear the latest updates. Again, Sparky's got the greatest input and got me this far. Don't know why he couldn't do the surgery for me...lol....seems he knew more about the problem than the Surgeon I HAD!!!! Scary but true! :? Talk to you soon. 8) This Has Been....

hope all goes well, i know u nust be feeling down , i wont pray as I always get the oposite of what I pray for
so best thing is a joke but i thought id beter not tell a joke to make you laugh too much as it might be bad for you
so heres my most specialy favourite cat poetry hope it helps some :-

=======================================

When God made the world, He chose to put animals in it, and decided to give each whatever it wanted. All the animals formed a long line before His throne, and the cat quietly went to the end of the line. To the elephant and the bear He gave strength, to the rabbit and the deer, swiftness; to the owl, the ability to see at night, to the birds and the butterflies, great beauty; to the fox, cunning; to the monkey, intelligence; to the dog, loyalty; to the lion, courage; to the otter, playfulness. And all these were things the animals begged of God. At last he came to the end of the line, and there sat the little cat, waiting patiently. "What will YOU have?" God asked the cat.

The cat shrugged modestly. "Oh, whatever scraps you have left over. I don't mind."

"But I'm God. I have everything left over."

"Then I'll have a little of everything, please."

And God gave a great shout of laughter at the cleverness of this small animal, and gave the cat everything she asked for, adding grace and elegance and, only for her, a gentle purr that would always attract humans and assure her a warm and comfortable home.

But he took away her false modesty.

Hey Blonde,
Wanted you to know that I'm thinking of ya brother, and hoping you don't feel a thing. I'm still wondering how your Driving yourself home after all this???...lol. We're all here pulling for ya man, and waiting patiently to hear as soon as you get back. Looks like I'm not going anywhere yet. Think the Surgeon jumped the gun, and did have me lined up for today or tomorrow....I couldn't bring myself to penciling her in though...lol. Waiting to hear from the Oncologist, who seems to have my best interest at heart. Well, you give a shout when you get home. I'm gonna be waiting here all day, get it nailed down. I'll be glad when we're both looking back at this and laughing! This Has Been....

:D :D :D Now that's great news Chris...incredible. Amazing what they can do as a routine these days. Man I was worried more about you driving yourself after a procedure like that. I know what you mean about the pain meds. I got my bottle still full sitting on the night stand. Wont touch em either, would rather have the pain than deal with the sick stomach and the depression coming off of em. Congratulations brother, glad your safe and sound! Man that's cool...so your good for another 100.000 miles now. Complete oil change and tune up. As long as you got no back firing your good to go...lol. Welcome Home!!! :D :D :D This Has Been....
