Sad new, but good news
My grandmother, Helen G. MacDowell took her last breath this morning while her nurses aids were at the comfort of her side in her own room and house she has lived in since 1942. She was 93 years old and went quick, painless and effortlessly. I got to see her 2 weeks ago and immediately knew her death was inevitable. Sure enough I get a call yesterday evening from my father informing me that she was not eating or drinking anything and hospice estimated a 24-36 hour time of death. I was informed by my father at 10:12 AM this morning that she had passed.
I am anything but sad, because I know she lived a long and very prosperous life. I am actually happy that she went the way she did, because that's how I want to go; unexpectedly and inevitably. So please, no need to comfort me, I just figured I'd let all of you know the situation in case I dissappear suddenly due to funeral and/or family related events.
I will post the official obituary once it has been composed and publically released.
